22 rooms, bright and calmly furnished, all with their own bathroom, Wi-Fi and hairdryer. Smoking is outside only, and a lift serves every floor. Rooms start from €79 a night. The exact price depends on the date; you’ll see the current one when you book.

Double room

Our classic, and with fifteen rooms it’s the category most of our guests sleep in. A king-size bed with an upholstered headboard and reading lamps on both sides, tall windows with lots of light and a warm wooden floor.

Good for a weekend for two just as much as for a business trip: the desk is a proper place to work, and in the evening you’re at Marienplatz in two minutes.

Attic room

Right at the top under the roof, with sloping ceilings and dormer windows, which makes these four rooms especially cosy. The queen-size bed is a little narrower than in the double room, and in return this category costs a little less.

Lovely for solo travellers and anyone who likes things snug. The lift goes all the way to the top, so you won’t have to carry your luggage up the stairs.

Superior double room

If you’d like more space: alongside the king-size bed you have a seating area with two armchairs by the window, a desk and plenty of room to spread out. Ideal if you’re staying a few nights or simply like a bit of breathing space. The bathroom has a shower and a bath, and the toilet is separate.

There’s just one Superior in the hotel. It costs a little more than a double room.

For when there are four of you. Alongside the large double bed there’s a bunk bed, a sofa and a seating area, plus a large open wardrobe for the whole family’s luggage. The bathroom has a shower and a bath, and the toilet is separate.

How it works

From booking to your room, all on your phone.

Your access is digital: code on your phone, door open, you’re in. You go by your own day, not by front-desk hours. And if you need us, we’re still there for you.

    Choose your dates, pick a room, done. You see straight away what’s available and receive your confirmation by email.

  2. 3 days before

    Check in online

    The link comes by email. A few details, and you can add extras like underground parking or late check-out right away.

  3. Straight after

    Get your door code

    Your personal code arrives by email. It opens the front door, your room and, if booked, the underground car park.

  4. From 15:00

    Arrive whenever you like

    Afternoon, evening or after midnight: there’s no latest arrival time, and you don’t need to let us know either.

  5. By 11:00

    Check out

    No key to hand back, just close the door behind you. Staying longer is possible with late check-out.

And if something’s not working?

To the left of the hotel door you’ll find our terminal. It can resend your code or check-in link by text message and, if needed, connect you straight to us. Once you’re inside, the emergency phone in the lobby reaches one of us around the clock. And in the mornings at breakfast time, our team is there in person.

traumwerk is in Schulgasse, a little lane running parallel to Marienplatz, right in the heart of Ravensburg’s old town. Leave the car in the underground car park or come by train, and do everything else on foot: towers, lanes, cafés and shops are right on your doorstep.

By car: As a hotel guest you’re allowed to drive through the pedestrian zone; this has been agreed with the town. From Marienplatz, turn left into Schulgasse by the Landgericht (regional court). After a bend to the right, the hotel is on your left. The underground car park is right in the building.

Rather not drive through the old town? Then park in Parkhaus Marienplatz (public car park), 2 minutes’ walk away.

Breakfast buffet on site.

In the mornings a classic breakfast buffet is waiting for you on the ground floor: cold cuts and cheese, muesli, fresh fruit, various breads and changing hot dishes, plus coffee, tea and juices.

Mon–Fri 06:30 – 10:00 · Sat & Sun 07:30 – 10:30

Some rates already include breakfast; otherwise it costs €14 per person. Children aged 6 to 12 pay €7, and younger ones eat free. You can also add it on the spot.

Prefer the restaurant? If you’ve paid for breakfast in advance, you can walk three minutes over to mundwerk instead, and we’ll credit the price there. Wednesday to Friday there’s breakfast (09:00 – 11:30), at the weekend brunch (09:00 – 14:00).

Sit outside, in the middle of town.

The house has a small courtyard of its own, a place to catch your breath, just a few steps from the lobby.

Take a coffee outside, read in the sun or plan the next day. Morning, afternoon or after a stroll through town: the courtyard is there for you.

Barista coffee and organic tea, whenever you like.

Our drinks station in the lobby is ready for you: a barista coffee machine, a selection of organic teas and a water station to help yourself.

Water is available around the clock, coffee and tea daily from 06:00 to 18:00. All free of charge, just help yourself. Fill up your bottle before heading into town, or take your coffee out into the courtyard.

By car or by bike

Underground car park right in the building.

Beneath the hotel is our own underground car park. A door takes you straight from the garage into the house, so you don’t have to take your luggage through the old town.

Car: €20 per night. The easiest way is to add a space during online check-in, where you can also see whether one is still free. Your door code then opens the garage door too. The entrance is 2.10 m high, and unfortunately we have no room for trailers. On your departure day the car can stay until 14:00. If the garage is full, park in Parkhaus Marienplatz (public car park), 2 minutes’ walk away.

Bicycle, e-bike, motorbike: park free of charge in the CCTV-monitored garage, with power for charging. Just drop us a quick email before you arrive so we can plan the space.

The little things that make your stay easy.

  • Early check-in

    Guaranteed access to your room from 12:00 for €20; add it during online check-in. If you booked directly with us, you can get in earlier free of charge as soon as your room is ready.

  • Late check-out

    Sleep in until 14:00, for €20. This too can be added during online check-in.

  • With your dog

    Dogs are welcome, in the hotel as well as in the restaurant. €15 per night; please let us know by email in advance.

  • Luggage storage

    Arriving early or leaving later? Your luggage can wait in a CCTV-monitored area. Just let us know beforehand.

  • Iron & ironing board

    Available on request. Let us know by 14:00 and both will be waiting in your room.

  • With children

    The suites have a bunk bed and room for up to 4 people. Cot and extra bed: see the rooms above.

What guests ask before they arrive

How does digital check-in work?
Three days before arrival you’ll receive the link to online check-in by email, and a reminder the day before. Once you’ve checked in online, your personal door code arrives. From 15:00 it opens the front door and your room. That’s all you need.
How late can I arrive?
Whenever you like. There’s no latest arrival time, and you don’t need to tell us when you’re coming. For the same night you can book online until 23:30.
Is breakfast included?
That depends on the rate. Otherwise it costs €14 per person; children aged 6 to 12 pay €7, and children under 6 eat free. You can also add it on the spot.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, dogs are welcome. We charge €15 per night and ask you to let us know briefly by email. Unfortunately we can’t accommodate other animals.
Do the rooms have air conditioning?
No, we don’t have air-conditioned rooms.
Is the hotel accessible?
Largely. A lift serves all floors. Some bathrooms have a raised step. If you rely on full accessibility, write to us beforehand and we’ll find the right room for you.
Can I cancel free of charge?
That depends on the rate. The Flex Rate can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before arrival. The Smart Rate is our early-booking rate and can’t be cancelled, but it can be rebooked, subject to availability.
How can I pay?
By German debit card (girocard) and all major credit cards except American Express. Cash is possible during breakfast hours, when our team is in the building. Non-refundable rates are due before arrival. Companies can also pay by invoice, or your employer can cover the costs directly: just email us their confirmation at hotel@zwoelf87.de before you arrive.
Is there a city tax?
Yes, since 1 July 2026 the town of Ravensburg has charged €2 per person per night. Guests under 18 are exempt.
Can I have dinner with you?
In the evening our restaurant mundwerk is reserved for parties and events. Around Marienplatz you’ll find plenty of options within a few minutes, and there are tips in the guest folder in your room. For breakfast, lunch or brunch, mundwerk is open for you Wednesday to Sunday, 09:00 – 14:00; it’s closed on Monday and Tuesday.
