At the weekend we brunch with the full menu; Wednesday to Friday there’s breakfast and a lunch menu that changes every week. Right in Ravensburg’s old town, in the vaulted hall of the Spital, a medieval hospital building.

The big weekend brunch
On Saturdays and Sundays the whole of mundwerk is given over to brunch. From 09:00 to 14:00 the full menu applies, all the way through, with no switch at lunchtime. So you can still have a leisurely breakfast at one o’clock.
We don’t do a buffet. Every dish is freshly plated in the kitchen and brought to your table. The menu has savoury and sweet dishes, egg dishes, topped sourdough bread, bowls and small bites in between. We bake and make a lot of it ourselves. There are always vegan dishes, and bread is available gluten-free on request.
Dishes cost between €11.90 and €18.90, and small bites like a butter pretzel or a croissant start at €3.50. If there are two of you, share our Breakfast for Champions for €39.
Exactly what ends up on your plate changes with the seasons. At the weekend it’s often busy, so booking a table is a good idea.

Breakfast and lunch during the week
During the week the day starts the same way: until half past eleven there’s breakfast with a selection from our brunch menu, from a butter pretzel for €3.50 to Kevin’s favourite bread for €18.90. Quiet in the vaulted hall, for settling in, reading or your first meeting of the day.
At half past eleven we switch to lunch. It’s new every week and has three lines: regional home cooking, field & garden and something from around the world, from €12.87. All freshly cooked and quickly on the table, for your lunch break, a meal with colleagues or your day off. If you like, add a side salad, an espresso or a dessert, or all three for 7.

Our concept
A restaurant by day, your place by night
mundwerk is open Wednesday to Sunday, 09:00 – 14:00, for breakfast, brunch and lunch. By day we’re all restaurant, in the evening we’re all hosts for your celebration.
In the evening the restaurant becomes an event venue, reserved exclusively for one party: weddings, birthdays, company parties, for up to 75 guests for a seated menu, or up to 90 with a flying buffet. On top of that there are our own, changing events, like the goose dinner, which anyone can come to. You’ll find what’s coming up under What’s on.

Good coffee, fresh juice, wine from the lake
Breakfast calls for good coffee, from espresso to flat white, with oat or lactose-free milk if you like. We squeeze the orange juice fresh, mix our own lemonades, and the tea is organic, from Sonnentor.
Fancy a toast? Our sparkling wine edition zwölf87 comes by the glass or by the bottle, plus spritz and Bellini. Our wine by the glass comes from the Kress winery in Überlingen on Lake Constance, the beer from Leibinger and Farny here in the region.
The building
In the vaulted hall of the old Spital
mundwerk is in the former Heilig-Geist-Spital (Hospital of the Holy Spirit) right in Ravensburg’s old town, first mentioned in 1287. Where the hospital café used to be, we’ve been your hosts since 2021 and turned it into zwölf87.
The tables are in the vaulted hall, and in good weather you can sit outside on the terrace. Dogs are welcome, and for children we have high chairs and small portions. The nearest multi-storey car park is two minutes’ walk away. And if you’d like to stay longer: our Hotel traumwerk is three minutes’ walk away in Schulgasse.

Discovered while passing through and pleasantly surprised all round. The place is very stylishly furnished, yet still really child-friendly – there’s lots of space and the staff are wonderfully warm with the little ones. The food was fresh and beautifully presented. There was even water for the dog.
… Really friendly service, a lovely venue in a great location and seriously delicious, unusual food. A very small, clear menu, a nice choice of drinks. Fairly high prices, but the food is definitely worth them. It was already my second visit and won’t be my last.

Do I need to book?
During the week you’ll often find a table without booking. For brunch at the weekend, it’s worth booking. You can book online for up to 6 people, or call us on +49 751 95877636.

Please email us at info@zwoelf87.de with the date, time and number of people. We only take larger groups in writing, so that we can plan properly.
Can I eat with you in the evening?

Is brunch also available during the week?
Wednesday to Friday there’s breakfast (09:00 – 11:30) with a selection from the brunch menu, followed by lunch (11:30 – 14:00). The full brunch menu is served on Saturdays and Sundays (09:00 – 14:00).
When are you closed?
The restaurant and event venue are closed on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday to Sunday we’re open 09:00 – 14:00.
Do you have vegan and gluten-free dishes?
Yes, there are vegan dishes at breakfast and on the brunch menu, and bread is available gluten-free on request. If you have questions about allergens, the team at your table will be happy to help.

Of course. For children we have high chairs and small portions, and dogs are welcome.
